RE: EASTER BREAK CIRCULAR.

1.    Easter Break

Today 2nd April, 2021 is Good Friday, when we remember and celebrate the passion and agony of Jesus Christ (as Christians). It is two days prior to Easter Sunday which will be on Sunday 4th April, 2021, when we celebrate the resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ that took place about 2021 years past. We have therefore sent you our child/children that you may together as a family remark this day. We thank and appreciate the Almighty God who has enabled us to reach it successfully.

We also convey our gratitude to all parents for the support and co-operation rendered to us always.

We expect the pupils back on Tuesday 06th April, 2021Boarder pupils will report back on Monday 05th April, 2021 (4:30PM – 5:00PM) and resume normal classes immediately.

2.    Academic progress

We realised a challenge of our learners who were so much affected by the long Covid-19 lockdown in terms of academics. However, we are grateful to God that none of the children, parents and/or teachers has been infected at any time. However, with the children already at school, there has been a tremendous academic improvement compared to how it was at the start. This is due to a committed, dedicated and competent staff which goes a milestone in offering the best guidance to our pupils. We urge you to encourage them to add more effort to better their performance.

3.     School Fees payments

We appreciate Parents who make payments in time to enable the school run its programmes and enable pupils’ learning schedule uninterrupted. You are requested to have paid 50% at the start of the term. The other installment should be paid during this period. The child should report back with the bank pay slip.

All fees should be paid in bank (Centenary Bank / Agent) in the school Account Number 3100053550 (ST. JOSEPHAT JUNIOR SCHOOL - KAKUUTO)

NB:    No child will be allowed in school without clearing all school fees balances.

The Shs. 3,000/= for hair trimming should be paid in cash to the school bursar.

4.   P.L.E:

We had our first batch of P7 Candidates successfully sit their P.L.E on 30th and 31st March, 2021. The class consisted of 7 pupils who were well prepared prior to the sitting. We surely expect good performance and continue to pray that God keeps them safe during their vacation period.

5.    Discipline

We have continued to be strict and observant towards the discipline of our pupils. Our programmes cover a wide range of activities aimed at bringing up “a holistic child”. For at St. Josephat, we touch lives forever … We request you to do the same and remember “Charity begins at Home”. Have some time and talk to your child.

6.   Lower Primary (P1-P3) Parents’ Meeting

In regard to the phased reopening as earlier communicated, we shall have a parents meeting for parents of lower primary classes (P1 – P3) on Tuesday 6th April, 2021 to plan reopening of these classes. For any details please call the Head Teacher.

7.   Vacancies and Admission / Registration for new pupils:

Thanks for entrusting us with your children. We still have vacancies in Nursery – P.6. We are already registering and admitting new learners in all those classes. Registration and interviews are being conducted (Monday – Saturday 8:00am – 3:00pm). We kindly request that may you recommend us to more parents, family and friends to give us their children.

8.  Conclusion

We thank you for your continued support. May you be blessed abundantly and keep caring for our dear ones!

Happy Easter.

Yours in service,

NB. They sat their PLE at St. Kizito Nabigasa Primary School because their number was too small to compose a separate sitting centre... Though this can't affect their performance.
